Dexter worked for a few weeks and now doesn't

Insatlled Dexter a month or so ago, and a few weeks later it started having problems.

This game is my public arcade, not at home, and it only runs on the weekends.

It would go to a blank screen sometime during the day. Not sure exactly when. A reboot would get it back running, but eventually it would drop back to the blank screen.

Now it won't boot to the game at all. It drops to blank screen during boot process. In the video you can see it cycles through some of the boot checks, but eventually drops to bank screen.

I can add credits, and when I hit 1 player start, I get the "bonk" when hitting the sword and directions on joystick, so I'm assuming it thinks it's playing.

Hi John,

Sorry you're having trouble. It looks like the main Dexter board is working okay, since the game still operates, but it's not getting audio/video from the Raspberry Pi. Here are a few things to try:

1. Re-seat the micro-SD card on the Pi. (Push to eject, push to lock.) Typically these pop out and the unit shows nothing at all, but it's best to rule this out.
2. If you have one of the defective Omnihil power supplies, be sure to get a replacement. (See http://my-cool-projects.blogspot.com/20 ... found.html )
3. Try running it without the USB thumb drive installed

If all of this fails, can you hook this drive up to a PC and make a ZIP file of the /logs folder for us to take a look at it? When the Pi encounters an error, it writes a log file to this folder, so it may contain some clues.

does the pulse light blink while the problem exists? The pulse light is located in approximately the center of the dexter board.

If nothing in this video seems like the problem, are you able to provide an internet connection to the Dexter device while it is running inside of the game? If so, I could remotely log in to the Dexter device and learn a lot about what is working and what isn't working.
