I bought Digital Leisure's 20th anniversary CD collection of Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, and Dragon's Lair 2. I then bought the DVD-Video version of Dragon's Lair. I tried to convert Lair to Daphne using DVD2Daphne and was unsatisfied with the results. I recently saw the M2V/OGG conversion of Lair and Space Ace on Usenet. I thought about it and thought about it, and downloaded Lair, as I felt that, I had paid seventy dollars for the CD collection and forty for the DVD, and 'owned' the games and was entitled to a proper conversion for use in Daphne. What's the consensus here? I don't want to be thought of as a thief, but I was simply not satisfied with the results my DVD, and certainly not with what the CDs provided. The version I managed to find came at a whopping 1.43GB, and the transfer is incredible (640x480). If I've offended anyone by doing this, it wasn't my intention. Dfennec |

The reason this post is against the rules is because legal discussion is prohibited. That includes asking for legal opinions or giving legal advice as to what is legal and illegal. Also, discussing downloaded mpegs is against the rules as well. But don't feel bad... your question is reasonable and fair and I don't blame you for wanting to know. |
