So, Im reading some posts from various sites, people complaining they dont have audio on dragons lair. They hear the beeps, they hear the intro narrator, but nothing else. I *think* I stumbled into the solution, so im posting here in case this page gets picked up by google search engine. My speaker's "stereo" function just died and for some bizzare reason, they will only play ONE speaker. (in other words, one channel of the stereo) So when I went to play Dragon's Lair, I got the same problem. Hearing only the beeps and intro narrator. So i changed the W10 audio settings to mono - and that fixed the problem. (So now the one working speaker plays BOTH audio channels) for windows 10, you can change hardware settings from stereo to mono this way - Start button, then select Settings > Ease of Access > Audio, and then switch on the toggle under Turn on mono audio. Or you can buy new speakers. Hope this helps someone! |
