Is there anyway to use seektest to create a framefile for dragon's lair 2? I didn't see a constant defined for it on this page: http://www.daphne-emu.com/disc2mpeg.php#calibrate but I wasn't sure how up to date that documentation was. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no complete seektest for Dragon's Lair 2 due to all the frame stop codes. If you have a single mpeg however, you can use "-preset 16" with seektest for dragon's lair 2.

Here's a snippet from the seektest.cpp source code:

case 16: // Dragon's Lair 2 (one single large mpeg2, obviously not appropriate for split mpegs)
m_disc_fps = 29.97;
m_early1 = 6; // Dragon's Lair II TIMEWARP logo
m_early2 = 7; // white grid on black background
m_late1 = 46349; // last frame of test pattern
m_late2 = 46350; // totally black frame
strcpy(m_name, "Dragon's Lair 2 (single mpeg)");
break;

Thx Matt!
I found that -63 is the offset I need.

Is it normal that the demo only plays sound the first time through (and is silent afterwards)?

Edit: actually I just found that it starts playing with sound again after 4 or 5 silent runs through the demo. I assume that's normal.

Thanks for the offset number in the framefile. Mine was set to 60 and when I set it to your suggestion all of my MPEG issues cleared right up!

I'm having issues with my DL2 mpeg. it seems that when I collect the bow in the first level, it will jump the the scene where you get the key in the snake level, it only flickers for a second, then goes to the scene where dirk takes the bow. I tried adjusting the framefile. I've noticed that the normal offset is -63. Is this normal behavior or is my setup screwed up?

Use the v1.0 beta of Daphne and use DaphneLoader to auto-download Dragon's Lair 2. That is the only method that I recommend now. No more messing around with framefiles; it just works.

Just in case you didn't get the warning, it does require that you own the dvd prior to it being fully functional. I know it's been discussed many times before, but I thought to give a fair warning.
