You're correct, the video overlay is missing. It will be supported in the next version.

Answer: probably not

If you add -real1450 to the command line, then the dragon's lair 2 driver (latest CVS) will pass commands straight through to the serial port, and the video overlay does work, but performance has been rather poor, so this is not recommended, nor is it supported (ie, use at your own risk).

No no... I won't use the CVS... too scared to broke something...
But it's a work in progress, so there's hope for a future fully working emulation (maybe 99.9?), and I'm happy to hear that!
