I have been trying to get DL to run. I have found some proper framefile counters and have put the files in as simple of a location as possible d:\lair\ But i have been getting a message unable to open starting file, heres my log.
--DAPHNE version 0.99.7
--Command line is: D:\\daphne.exe lair vldp -framefile D:\lair\dragonslair_frames.txt
--CPU : AuthenticAMD 2200 MHz || Mem : 1024 megs
--OS : Windows XP/.NET || Video : NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT
Set 640x480 at 32 bpp with flags: 0

Loading ./roms/lair/dl_f2_u4.bin ... 8192 bytes read into memory
Framefile parse succeeded. Video/Audio directory is: D:/lair/./
LDP-VLDP ERROR : first video file could not be opened!
Could not initialize laserdisc player!
Shutting down sound system...
Shutting down video display...

And here is my first few lines of my framefile

.

150 dl-slates.m2v
323 dls00.vob.m2v
1366 dls01.vob.m2v
2044 dls01d1.vob.m2v
2085 dls01d2.vob.m2v
2133 dls01d3.vob.m2v
2213 dls01b.vob.m2v
2297 dls02.vob.m2v

As i said, very simple layout that should by all accounts of the FAQ and other advice on the forums. All file names and locations are correct. any additional ideas as how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried putting the full path in the first line of your frame file? Ala:

------------- FrameFile --------------
D:\lair

150 dl-slates.m2v
323 dls00.vob.m2v
etc. etc.

Can you play any of the files (.m2v , .vob.m2v) through a normal player?

This looks like the error:

Framefile parse succeeded. Video/Audio directory is: D:/lair/./

Do you have a folder named " . " ?

. represent the current directory. Hence the . default in the frame file. The path should be resolved down to d:\lair

Cheers

Having the current directory (.) as the framefile path is the method that I recommend for all framefiles now. The reason is because as long as you have the framefile is the same directory as the .m2v file(s), you can move them around to any directory.

If you use the absolute path, you have less freedom.
