When using Daphne Loader 99.7 the following command line generated works for DLE2:

e:\daphne\daphne.exe DLE2 vldp -framfile e:\daphne\mpeg2\LAIR.txt -fullscreen -useoverlaysb 2

I am trying to use Mamewah with the command line and the syntax created is:

e:\daphne\daphne.exe LAIR vldp -framfile e:\daphne\mpeg2\LAIR.txt -fullscreen -useoverlaysb 2

My question is how do I send DLE2 and LAIR to the comand line in the following ini file?

my mamewah ini file is:
### 0001.ini (mamewah v1.61) ###

emulator_title Daphne

### List Generation Settings ###
rom_path e:\daphne\roms
rom_extension zip
dat_file
nms_file e:\daphne\daphne.nms

### Execution Settings ###

commandline_format [name] vldp -framefile E:\Daphne\mpeg2\[name].txt -fullscreen -useoverlaysb 2

### Artwork Locations ###

### Screen-Saver Settings ###

movie_fullscreen 1
quit_delay 30

### External Application Settings ###

app_1_executable
app_1_commandline_format
app_2_executable

### Additional Settings ###

### Settings used by MAMEWAH ###

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Dl and ld2 don't have the same overlay methods afaik.

Also you are passing "-framfile" instead of "-framefile"

spelling counts. :D

Sorry, my typing was a little off last night. The syntax generated from DaphneLoader was:

e:\daphne\daphne.exe DLE2 vldp -framefile e:\daphne\mpeg2\LAIR.txt -fullscreen -useoverlaysb 2

and this works fine for Dragon's Lair (US Enhanced 2.0)|dle20

when running Dragon's Lair (US Rev F2)|lair the DaphneLoader Syntax is:

e:\daphne\daphne.exe LAIR vldp -framefile e:\daphne\mpeg2\LAIR.txt -fullscreen -useoverlaysb 2

This also works.

But in Mamwah running Dragon's Lair (US Rev F2)|lair works but running Dragon's Lair (US Enhanced 2.0)|dle20 does not. From what I can see it is becasue DLE2 is not being passed to daphne.exe, just LAIR.

Thanks

From what you've posted, you seem to be able to get both versions to work fine via the Daphne Loader. So, why are you trying to run either version through MAMEwah, if you don't mind me asking? I only ask because much of the support offered here, from what I know, is going to be geared more towards Daphne rather than another emulation solution. In any case, I do hope you get your issue resolved.

You really are new at this aren't you lowlight?

Daphne loader is simply a windows gui. Mamewah is a full-fledged mame cab front end. You can't use daphne loader on a mame cab and even if you could you wouldn't want to because it looks like a windows app. :)

However, you are right, this is being asked in the wrong forum. The daphne end of things is working, he's having issues with mamewah and thus should ask his question over at byoac.

Well, considering my post count and complete ignorance on anything relating to MAME since I own all of my PCB's, yes I am new to this terminology with regards to MAME and its iterations. I wasn't aware that MAMEwah was MAME cab front end, my apologies...
