I don't know if we have any Tron fans here, but I am one and I just got this game yesterday, then spent hours playing it, eventually going to bed far too late for my own good.

This is a cool game! And it definitely has a very authentic Tron feel to it. Monolith has once again done a great job.

Dude, as long as I get to play lightcycles I'm all good! Course, maybe the Jai-lai game would be fun too...

Glad to hear it's cool.

Sherman, set the Wayback Machine for...oh, 1973. Kevin Flynn is one of the brightest young software engineers at ENCOM. He's so bright that he starts going in there at night, and sets up a private memory file, and begins writing a program for a video game he is inventing, called...Space Paranoids.

This is great news!! I'm a big fan of Tron and I'm happy to hear that from you, Matt :)

I hope the movie (Tron 2.0) is as good as the game... :D Is it already out in the States?

The movie, which was going to be called "Tron: Killer App" (not "Tron 2.0" like the game) has been cancelled.

I'll still love you Pariah... forever and ever... until pigs fly, the cows come home, or Killer App comes out.

Okay... uh... okay...

... I'M DISAPPOOOOINTEEEEED! (I've watched A fish called Wanda last night, that's a quote from the movie).

Well, I didn't come up with "Tron 2.0" myself, I remember to have read that title on some major fan website, anyway, thanks for the correction, Chip :)

Anyway, I would like to know more about this sad cancellation, so I'm going to ask Google...

You probably won't find much. Disney was *very* quiet about it. Basically, the press releases disappeared from the web and the movie website was redirected to the game website. I don't think there was any official statement that it was cancelled, but it's fairly obvious. All that remains is a preview trailer on the Tron: 20th anniversary DVD. And that may not even be on the more recent pressings of the disc.

That's right.. I didn't find much, tronkillerapp.com redirects to tron20.net, and, since I've got the European version of the Tron 20th anniversary DVD, there's NO mention at all of Tron Killer App

Chip, could you tell me if this video is the preview trailer you were talking about?

Thank you very much.

yup, that's it!

I still haven't played Tron 2.0. But, I recently finished Jedi Academy, so it's next on my list.

<sigh> My stack of games to play keeps getting bigger...
