Hi there.

I seem to be having a bit of a problem getting everything up and running.

First I have been able to run the seektest and find the beginning frame. So I update the framefile and the game (space ace) seems to start but just cycles through some demo and setup stuff. None of the keys work.

Question 1 - when doing the seektest do you have to go through the entire file from start to finish or can you just start and find the first frame?

Question 2 - how can I setup my x-arcade to work properly for me (right now I would be happy just to get any keys working on either the keyboard or the x-arcade)

Same issue.

It won't respond for me. Just stays in the demo. Sounds like it is adding coins but I can't do anything after that.

I hate to ask the obvious, but did you double check the settings within your framefile? According to your logfile output, it seems as if your framefile may be inaccurate. Chip, is it okay to post/discuss framefile info here, or will the thread get locked?

I have done the exact same steps with Badlands and have gotten it working (as well as it does anyways).

I have run the seektest and put in the starting fram that it tells me to. The directory structure is correct but it still doesn't let me do anything. This also happens with DL.

Often times framefile seek numbers start sequentially with a low number and work their way upward. From the looks of it, your first seek number is higher than the one that proceeds it. Have you tried setting the first seeknumber to the number suggested by the log, 306, instead of the one you're using - 323?

Either DL or Ace just seem to loop through a bit of demo and a bit of diagnostics.

Just not getting anywhere.

There are different rom files for both SA and DL available, some of these make calls differently through VLDP. Have your tried using any of them in place of the ones you're using now? As to your X-Arcade quesiton, I believe this version of DAPHNE (99.7) uses fixed keymapping, so perhaps there is a way to adjust the settings in the X-Arcade controller?

I have tried using the 4 different DLs listed in the loader and did try the DLE 2.1 roms but still no luck.

It just keeps cycling through the demo and diagnostic screens.

Please any suggestions would be great. I have had it running in the past so I don't know why it's so hard to get it going again.
