I havent seen posts on Windows 7 issues, but hoping someone can help. Im running the current daphen version, and while playing cliff hanger, the video pauses a good 2-3 secs after the first jump (casino scene), yet the audio keeps playing.

Ive tried to locate the problem without success.

my system is a intel quad core, 4 gig rams.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Joe

the only thing I can of is maybe try playing in OpenGL mode; windows 7 (and vista) don't work with the old hardware YUV overay so OpenGL mode is the only way to get hardware accelerated video.

Other than that, I don't know of any performance differences.

Hey Matt,

Ive figured out what's causing the lag. Its not really lag from the video. During game play, the mouse pointer gets highlighted as if i was selecting the desktop and not the daphne window. This does not happen when playing in full screen. (but this does not happen in full screen as Daphne disables? the pointer during full screen play). Is there a way to disable the mouse pointer in windowed play mode? Any suggestion? Thanks.

Ok now I'm curious.

Why do you care about windowed mode? IMHO windowed mode for emulators is pretty much for debugging only. I don't know of anyone who actually plays games in windowed mode.

No, there's no way to disable the mouse pointer in windowed mode without modifying the source code. Sounds like playing fullscreen is your best bet.

Matt - Thanks.

Howardc - the monitor is set up with windowed mode to allow me to keep some stock screens up while doing whatever (daphne :D) in the lower right. may be time for a dual monitor set up...
