Is possible to start daphne in a resolution lower than 640x480?

something like 480x360 windowed
or 480x640 full screen.

Thanks in advance.

daphne runs at the resolution of your mpeg files. (except for those with overlay, which need specific resolutions). If you want a different resolution, just encode your files that way.

mhh
My space ace video files are at 720x480.....

but if i launch daphne
N:\Emu\daphne\daphne.exe ace vldp -framefile ".\mpegs\sadvdrom\ace_framefile.txt" -x 640 -y 480
resolution of the window is 640x480

if i execute

N:\Emu\daphne\daphne.exe ace vldp -framefile ".\mpegs\sadvdrom\ace_framefile.txt" -fullscreen -x 800 -y 600

resolution is 800x600....

What happens if you try "-x 320 -y 240" on the command line? I remember we used to have a warning in there that prevented you from going that low, but I can't remember if we removed it or not ....

Ok, I looked at the source code to refresh my memory, and yes, 640 pixels wide and 480 pixels high are the minimum acceptable resolutions. This is because certain things like the Dragon's Lair scoreboard in "noldp" mode require at least 640x480.

VLDP could work in any resolution, but for simplicity's sake, the minimum is 640x480.

Would it be possible to have Daphne support 320x240? When I run Daphne on my arcade machine at 640x480, I am unable to see the lower 1/3 of the screen (roughly). BTW awesome work sir. I've been playing it on my PC for a while. It would be great if I could do the same on my cab.

Thanks for your time.

Has this been completed? I really need some help with this screen resolution being a hair lower. I'm running
daphne on a Standard Resolution Arcade Monitor. The lowest resolution is 640 x 288. Are there command
line switches I can use somewhere to make the games run at 640 x 288. I really hope so. Daphne is my favorite emulator and I love laser games. It's in my blood... Hopefully this can be done. Thanks.

John

I run Daphne on a standard CRT 15 kHz arcade monitor at 640x480 resolution. This resolution can be obtained on the monitor in interlaced mode.
Works just fine.
