after playing dragon's lair or space ace, i noticed that the daphne error log quite often reports "Problem reading samples!" here and there. however, there are no audible errors when i'm actually playing the games, and in fact everything sounds exactly as it should. i tried asking about this on the tech forum last week, but unfortunately nobody replied so i figured it might help if i rephrase the question before giving up. i'll simply ask if anybody else out there can verify that they are seeing the same thing in their error logs? the fact is that both games look & sound fantastic when i play them, so i'd just like to know if those "Problem reading samples!" errors in the log mean anything significant or not, and if there's a way to stop it from appearing that'd naturally be great too. thanks a bunch. irmish p.s. - i should also mention that i'm using the dvd2daphne mpeg conversions of the dvd-rom discs for both games and running windows xp, just in case the added info helps. |
