OK, I got the DVD-Video 20th anniversary set for XMas.

DVD2Daph seemed to say this is a great version because of the proto-et all.

Anyway, after I finally stopped playing on the DVD player, I went to try Daphne. Of course, I needed DVD2Daph.

No prob. It runs for a while. And when done, I have a bunch of files.

The text said I'd need about 1.0 gig of space for DL.
The files take up 1.62 gig.

I assume this includes the Proto files.

And I've tried Proto and non and it seems to work.

My question is what do I need for DL and what do I need for DL Proto?

I'm planning on trying some seperations myself, but figured if someone else here had tried it already I'd ask...

Thanx, desiv

btw.. In case you're wondering, I don't safely have enough free space on my hard drive left to convert Space Ace. If I can temporarily remove the Proto stuff( c. 500 meg), it gives me what I need. At least, until I clean up and archive a bunch of stuff (which I REALLY need to do, but..). I've been doing such a good job of putting that off, I don't want to ruin my run. :-)

Probably already have this, but to add Proto or Standard to the Daphne Launcher, add this:
---------------
ListBox4Items=2
ListBox4Title=ROM Version
ListBox4ItemName1=Standard
ListBox4cmdline1=
ListBox4ItemName2=Proto
ListBox4cmdline2=-bank 1 10000111
---------------

..to the DaphneLoaderInfo.ini file in the DLE20 section.
After ListBox3 and before DIPbanks.
... no '---'s :-)

You can rename it if you don't consider it a ROM version, but nothing came to mind. Maybe PROTO and instead of Standard and Proto, OFF and ON??? You're call.. or not.. :-)

Still having fun with Daphne. It plays better than my DVD player (real or software...). Haven't tried it yet on the projector downstairs.. (He said while getting up and hitting himself for not having done this yet...)

Seeya..

In order for Prototype gameplay, you need.

1. DLE 2.0 roms
2. To make sure that the relevant DIP is set
3. To make sure that the proto video is present - DVD2DAPH has a little difficulty with this at present.

You shouldn't need to modify the DaphneLoaderInfo.ini file at all...

As of vesion 0.99.6, it includes support for DLE2 prototype mode. Just change the "Game Mode" setting on the "Game" tab.

Hello Desiv,

I have also the 20th anniversary DVD-VIDEO
I successfuly have converted the Dragon's Lair and Space Ace DVD to daphne.
But the conversion of Time Warp DVD doesn't work (program freeze)

Did you succeed to convert the Dragon's Lair II Time Warp DVD to Daphne ?

Thank you for answer

Nope.. Didn't even try. dvd2daph says it doesn't support it.

And my version of Daphne (I don't use CVS so I don't know if it does, but I'm patient..) doesn't support it either...

So, for now, it's Dragon's Lair and Space Ace in Daphne.

Time Warp will have to wait...

There are other conversion programs that might support it, but until Daphne "officially" supports it, I'm not going to bother.

Does anyone know about any buzz about when Timewarp support might abound for Daphne, specifically Dvd2daph?

are there any wips on the subject?

Just wondering. Until then, I'll wait myself. :-?

Thanks.

Take care
