I have all the files I need but when the game starts it doesn't let me do anything just keeps playing by itself. Seems like there's some setting that I'm missing. I don't know if the game does work just like arcade I mean should there be a flash of light that shows you the correct move and everything like real game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Are you running this through dpahneloader or straight from the command line? If from a command line try running it through the loader. Not sure what the lairalt command is. I believe mine is just lair

lairalt is the driver (game) name for romsets A-D. This is correct considering his log shows that he is trying to load romset A.

What happens if you try to run F2 roms with the "lair" driver?

OK, just asking..

In DaphneLoader, do you have it set for Free Play "Configure - Game - Freeplay"??

If so, do you just hit "1" to start the game???

I realize it could be key definitions and such, but I like to start low level.
:-)

If you have the scoreboard on (overlay), do you see credits and such?

if I try to run the f2 or the enhancement ones I get the message laserdisc player not found the only one that will run is revision a-D. It almost runs ok but from what I can remember it should help you decide what moves you need to do.

Also if i run the game with free play or any of that i lose the sound for when I make a good move or bad one. The only way that works is if I run it with factory defaults.

nope! Any hints given are animated into the video footage itself. There is no other feedback for DL or SA.

It sounds like you've got some other issues going on. Are you using an unsupported frontend? or Dirk? or Daphneloader? Try running from the commandline and let us know what happens. Instructions for this are detailed in the documentation.
