In another topic you posted another version is ready in the wings, and was wondering if you could shed some like on it?

I'm not sure if I should wait for the new version, or go ahead and use the one that's out now on my 20th ann. edition DVDs.

Your tools is always great.. my only concern is the encoder you use. Can you document how once can interact with another encoder if they wish using your batch tools? (e.g. TMPGEnc) or is the quality difference not noticable?

Thanks!

The next dvd2daph will be released at some point after DL2 is officially supported. It features improved avisynth scripts, for the best possible encodes and it now has IVTL for all discs- not just the 20th anniversary set. However, I'm not going to rip out all the DL2 stuff just to release it now. When DL2 is supported, it will follow shortly thereafter.

The encoder included with dvd2daph is admittedly not the best encoder available, but due to the poor compression already existing on the DVDs, the difference is not noticable if you were to use a different external encoder. Therefore I'm not going to document or support using an external encoder as the results are comperable (especially with the upcoming dvd2daph) but it can be done if you were so inclined.
