I just converted my dvd video files to DAPHNE format but have a small program when running the game. It loads the game with no problems but when trying to insert quartes and start a gane it keeps sending me back to the intro over and over again. The framfile is correct and looks like this.

C:\daphne\LaserDiscs\Dragons Lair\

150 dl-slates.m2v
323 dls00.vob.m2v
1366 dls01.vob.m2v
2044 dls01d1.vob.m2v

Sample of course there is alot more to it.

My question is this since I believe this may have something to do with it.

When I choose the MPEG file with DAPHNE Loader which file do I use. I tried the dl-slates.m2v and also dls00.vob.m2v which is the intro. Both send me into loops upon trying to start the game. Please help me resolve this problem so I can play the game.

Just got the game to work properly with the command line which is fine with me but have another question. How do I force the game into harder levels since it is now skipping over the moat scene with the monster. Dirk is just running into the castle without ever letting me play this scene. The game is working fine but to easy. Also when I converted my dvd video to daphne it stated that some video files where missing and I should download a video pack? Where do I find this video pack?

This scene only plays on the 'enhanced' version of the ROMs. As far as I know there aren't any 'harder' levels. Just different versions of the ROMs.

Ok I understand I need to use one of the enhanced versions of the rom but how can I do this via the command line. I copied the command line from the loader but it does not appear to make anything change. The bridge scene is still skipped for some reason. Is there a place to specify which rom to us when working from the command line?

I don't remember the exact syntax but you want to change 'lair' to something like 'dle_20' or something like that. You can select the enhanced roms from the drop down list in daphneloader.

I believe you change "lair" to "dle20" ...
