I'm new to the message board and just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have a little problem though, I've been trying to get Dragon's Lair Enhancement 2.1 to work but it seems as though it can't read the DLE_readme21 file and it can't locate the rom images. I placed the enhancement roms in another folder near the folder w/ the F2 roms. My F2 version works perfectly and was wondering if anyone could offer me some assistance. My F2 version is:

Framefile location
C:\daphne\tools\DL20\lair_dl20.txt

MPEG File location
C:\emulators\daphne\lair.txt

Have you converted M2V/OGG files from either the Digital Leisure DVD or from the actual LaserDisc? You need those too.

Yeah, I have those done already. I converted them with the DVD2Daph. When I play both the origionals of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace they play perfect. It's just I don't know where to put the readme21 file in either the framefile or the MPEG location. And then the problem with the ROM images- I don't know why it won't read them. I have them in a sub folder next to the sub folder w/DL verF2 rom images.

They have to go in the SAME place as the ROM images do.

Which version of Daphne are you using? If you're using v0.99.7pre3 or pre4, you might want to look here.

To reiterate (this is based on pre3):

A few issues I am aware of:
- goal to go doesn't work (yes, I know... the cost of fixing this outweighs the desire to actually play the game)
- dragon's lair 2 sound beeps do not work, and the game has no text overlay
- DLE v2.1 cannot be selected from DaphneLoader
- Fullscreen mode w/ hardware acceleration does not work on Radeon 9200 or Radeon 9600 cards.
- Game warnings cannot be skipped

For now, i'd suggest getting the latest version of Daphne here and using dle2.0 for now. Place dle20.zip in your roms folder, your framefile wherever you keep your other framefiles (edit it to point to where your mpeg for dragons lair is kept) and go from there.

Thanks everyone. I actually got it to work. I had to upgrade to the newer version of Daphne, which I didn't realize. Thanks to everyone for their replies and a VERY big thank you to Chip. Thanks for all your help!!!
