Post subject:  WHICH SHOULD I BUY DVD ROM OR DVD VIDEO?

Hi all

i wanted to buy 20th year anniversery dvd video with dragons lair, dragons lair 2 and space ace, but i hear it has a pause when you use it on your dvd player? can i use it on my pc to avoid any pauses? any suggestions on what should i buy? i hear dvd rom is good but quality lacks and it not arcade accurate. please help me out

You're exactly correct on all counts. The DVD 20th has very good quality pictures but isn't as arcade accurate. Primarily because it can't do the timing of the moves like in the arcade. Like in a scene where you have to hit the sword at just the right time or you'll die. Playing it on DVD, you can pretty much hit the sword at practically any time to win. If you play it on your computer DVD player there isn't any delay time between scenes (well, assuming you have pretty much any modern dvd rom player with a decent processor, etc). Personally I would suggest you get the dvd version and convert it to use with Daphne. That way you get the great quality picture and keep it arcade accurate.

Does the 20th anniversary provide on screen hints in yellow

do all versions provide the yellow flash in wich direction to go? or hit sword?
