I forgot to ask this question.... If I were to build a dragons lair cab would this be the version to put in it? Or should I stick with Daphne and use my 20th ann. edition

Hi Bri,

The New DLHD is the Best PC version of DL, that I have ever seen, but if you are planing to build a Cabinet, if I were you, I would stick with the DAPHNE Emulator and the 20th Anni. DVD Video.

Like I mentioned before, this Game has no external Joystick Support.
This Game is for people that want to Play DL on their PC, with the lease amount of work and set up to do. Just put the Disc in and play.

The Only other advantage that this game has above the 20th. Anni. DVD and the use of DAPHNE, is the New HD Video and Sound. WOW!!!

There may be a way to convert the WMV Video and Sound to a Format that works with DAPHNE without losing Video and Sound Quality. But I'm not an expert on this.

Yours Truly,

Tony M. Victorino

The joystick thing is not a huge problem. Just program your joystick to press keys. My gamepad has a profiler.

Yep it's one of the best keyboard encoders there is.

Arcade Renovations sold them as a kit

I got the skill level buttons from eBay (red LED type)

I got a repro scoreboard with Daphne support also from Arcade Renovations.

Just got my Dragons Lair HD today. WOW :o It looks incredible!

The sound is crisp as well. Timing is a little different on some scenes compared to playing on Daphne with the 20th ann. box set.

It doesn't even look like its 23 years old anymore :D Looks like it was just made today :D

I don't even want to know how much money I've spent on buying different versions of dragons lair. Not to mention the money spent playing in the arcade back in the day :-?

Borf,

since dragons lair hd has no joystick support would I-PAC still work good for wiring up a joystick?

Yep, it's a keyboard encoder, so if you use say the up arrow you can program it to be up on the joystick :D

I think I have to buy DL HD (I WANT SPACE ACE HD)
