in the Daphne loader v2.1.26 how do I play the prototype version of dragons lair? I have the 20th anniversary edition?

I don't think it is supported yet in that version of daphneloader. You can always run daphne directly from the command line (instead of thru daphneloader). If you don't know how, check this post:

Is it in the older versions? If so how do I play prototype in that?

Of course you already know the official release of daphne (and daphneloader) is here:
http://www.daphne-emu.com/download.php

which is v1.2 of daphneloader. Just hit "Configure" for DL 2.x, go to the Game tab, change Game Mode from Standard to Prototype. That's it.
