I've kept trying to use Daphne with Windows Vista for a long time now, and everytime I tried to play the games fullscreen, the games would crash and I'd get an error. I could try playing them in windowed mode, but the graphics would be jerky and the sound was choppy. Well, I installed RC2, build 5744 and thought "what the heck, I'd try to run Daphne again", not putting a lot of faith that it would work. But it did! I can now play the games fullscreen and they run very smoothly :D Now, no more having to boot into XP just to play the games *phew*.

Interesting... It's nice to know it works without changes at this point.

It was probably a video driver issue. (What graphics card do you use?)

Vista RC2 is about 68% less sucky than RC1. It might even be decent by the time it ships, but that's only around two months from now! :o

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a issue with the vista drivers for my video card. I'm using a nVidia FX Geforce 5500 with 256 MB DDR

I was gonna say, I tried all the emulators on the crappy old rc1 and for the most part they all ran well.

Of course I was naturally using an ati radeon card so there weren't any video card driver issues. ;)

I've been using RC2 of Vista at work to try to get our stuff working on it and I have to say I find it very annoying to have to double or triple confirm some of my actions such as deleting a file :)

Yeap, 1st thing I always do after I install an updated version is to go into MSCONFIG's Tools tab and disable UAC. (I guess I'm getting a bit off topic)
