I own the 20th Anniversary DVD Edition, and play Dragon's Lair & Space Ace on my MAME arcade machine. I just upgraded to Daphne 1.0 (Finally, I can play DL2!).

I got a question about the files created on the HD. My arcade machine doesn't have any optical drive (Just MB + HD) so I did the conversion on my main workstation (which I never play games on).

I noticed that after the online download, there are 2 type files on the HD. An m2v/ogg and .bf files.

The HD on my Arcade Machine is very limited, so I was wondering if it's safe to transfer the entire Daphne vldp_dl directory without the .bf files (what are they used for??)

Also, I'm not sure if the development teams cares to share this or not, but what exactly did daphneloader get off the DVD's? (Isn't the video for DL, DL2 and Space Ace downloaded from the Internet rather than the discs?)

EXCELLENT JOB! Can't wait to get it running on my arcade machine!

I did the same thing. I downloaded them and decoded them on one machine, then transfered them over to my cabinet. Copy everything over except the bf files and all should be ok.
