I read that the Space Ace DVD-ROM, among other things, leaves out the "acknowledge" and "reject" noises when you move the joystick. Also, I heard that its moves are a little off, that you have to move a little before you should.

Is it the same deal with Dragons Lair DVD-ROM? They have a new "arcade authentic" product on CD, with lower quality video, that claims to emulate dip switches, moves, etc.

Since this implies that the other releases are not "arcade authentic," I ask, how does the DVD-ROM version hold up?

Zag :>

The DVD-Rom gameplay doesn't hold up to the original at all. However, the footage from the DVD-Rom works quite well with Daphne. =) For more info on the "which is better" debate, check out the message board at http://www.d-l-p.com and search the archives. There's lots of info there.
