Ok, before I place the order I want to insure I have this correct. 1) Order the PC-dvd of Dragaon's Lair and Space Ace from some place like digital liesure 2) Convert the dvd to mpeg so I can play without the dvd inserted 3) download Daphne and the rom's 4) Experience the games as I remember them Do I have this correct? I don't want to order the wrong version and then find out I can't play |

Just be sure to get the DVD-Rom, and not the DVD-Video. Besides that, all you need is a computer that's fast enough. You'll also need to download dvd2daph. |

And for whatever it's worth, being able to play without the DVD is not the reason you convert to MPEG. Daphne uses a special version of MPEG, with the video and the audio seperated out into their own streams (only the video is actually MPEG, the audio is a special compressed format called OGG). You convert the video in order to make it compatible with Daphne. -etumor |
