These are from within DAPHNE, they aren't fabrications

The mpeg2 was captured with the laserdisc frame number turned on for testing. The footage was then converted back to its native 23.976 fps which is why you see the frame numbers interlaced.

I have a Sony LDP-1450 and the frame feature is very cool.

How did you convert from laserdisc to mpeg?

Also, what version of mpeg will daphne ultimately support for Dragon's Lair and Space Ace?

I am looking for information on how to convert my existing dragon's lair and space ace laserdiscs to a future compatible daphne format.

Thanks

You will be able to use mpeg1 or mpeg2.
The resolution for most of the discs should be 640x480 except for Super Don which should be 512x480. The jury is still out on the best way to produce the mpeg. I assume that what will happen is at first, everyone will have lots of questions, and after a few people get the hang of it, someone will write a tutorial.
