I'm having a big problem here. When I try to play the enhanced version of space ace it wont let me do anything.

When I hit 5 or 6 for quarters it instantly says "give player 2 a chance" (something along those lines)

Then it starts playing erratically all by itself. I cant control it. it automatically jumps from scene to scene back and fourth.

I'm using the 3 box set 20th anniversary edition. I tried ripping it 3 times already, and its still doing it. I even have the PC dvd rom version. I tried ripping that a few time too, and the same thing happens again.

The game does let me play the regular version (83) of space ace though

please help!! THANKS

Can you give which version of Daphne you are using? Is it .99.7?

Perhaps your rom files are corrupt.
You can redownload the .zip here:
http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tec ... ts/sae.asp
and extract the files to the folder \Daphne\roms\sae

If you post the contents of your daphne_log.txt file, people will be able to help you much better.

I think dvd2daph 3 created 2 framefiles for SA: one for A2/3, another for SAE. The A2/3 framefile will not work with SAE. Hmm... or maybe not. Maybe the existing A2/3 framefile was modified to also support SAE. Dvd2daph 3 was so long ago... I really can't remember. In any case, check for a second framefile or better yet, wait for dvd2daph 4.

Space Ace 91 is not supported by dvd2daph yet. Ace91 runs on DL2 hardware and is a recent addition to daphne. Your dvd2daph files work with ace83.

If you would like to play Space Ace 91 now, you will need to use your '91 laserdisc. Otherwise, wait for dvd2daph 4.

By the way, Space Ace 91 (remake) is *not* the same as Dave Hallock's Space Ace Enhancement. SAE will work fine with your dvd2daph files.

Bri,

Dave Hallock actually modified the Space Ace roms and called them "Space Ace Enhanced" so everyone thought you were talking about that version.
